We birders don’t always like to ruminate on missed birds, for some of us the wounds are worn too close to the surface. The tiny desert spitfire known as Costa’s Hummingbird. For starters, Costa’s is a desert species and we were primarily up in the mountains. I needed it. And I wanted the complete set.
